To help you win more PvP battles and defeat high-level world map zombies
Legendary heroes also referred to as UR heroes, play a vital role in Last War: Survival Game. In this guide, we have ranked all legendary heroes across 3 tiers (S, A, and B) based on their base stats, roles, classes, and skill effects. This tier list will help you choose the best heroes to focus on and invest in for your zombie hunt strategy or PvP base attacks in this strategy mobile game.

To avoid any confusion between defense-oriented heroes and tanks themselves, we will use “defense” when talking about these heroes. Here are the rankings.
But before reading this tier list, if you are more into PvP battles, we recommend watching this as well:
These are the top-performing heroes with exceptional skills and base stats. They are must-haves for any team composition and can carry you through difficult battles:
- Kimberly (Attack, Tank)
- Tesla (Attack, Missile Vehicle)
- Williams (Defense, Tank)
- Fiona (Attack, Missile Vehicle)
- Carlie (Defense, Aircraft)
- DVA (Attack, Aircraft)
Kimberly is your go-to hero in Last War Survival Game, known for her strong attacking skills and high damage output. She is not only one of the best PvP heroes but can also wipe out single targets effortlessly with her first skill and take on multiple enemies at once with her second skill.
She’s a valuable asset in the game and I suggest having at least two more tank heroes to get that 3 +2 hero synergy bonus, or you could go full tank squad for the best results. Just remember to protect Kimberly as she has low HP and she’ll lead your team to victory!
Tesla is one of the few characters in the game that deal energy damage, which makes him a great pick for early-game players. He can do damage to multiple enemies at once and his second skill increases his attack power even more. Using Tesla together with Stetmann or Kimberly can create a very strong vehicle duo that’s hard to beat in PvP or stage battles around your base.
Williams is your best bet if you are looking for an absolute fortress hero in the Last War Survival game. His first skill deals good damage, making him ideal for physical attacks. In terms of defense and tanking, he outshines all other heroes thanks to his second and third skills which provide high damage reduction to help you dominate in any type of battle, particularly PvP.
These heroes are also strong choices, particularly for PvE fights, but they do not have the same burst single-target, AoE abilities or power as the S Tier heroes. However, they can be great alternatives:
- Stetmann (Attack, Tank)
- Murphy (Defense, Tank)
- Schuyler (Attack, Aircraft)
- Marshall (Support, Tank)
- Lucius (Defense, Aircraft)
Stetmann is an excellent AoE damage dealer and one of the best heroes in Last War Survival. His skills are specialized in energy damage, making him a top choice for PvP battles. With his first skill alone, he can deal significant energy damage and even more at 5 stars! Plus, his third skill hits multiple enemies with electric orbs. And don’t forget, his second skill also boosts his already high crit rate, which is why I like this hero a lot.
Murphy is almost as great as Williams. He is perfect for defending your team in the Last War Survival Game. With his skills, he reduces damage and boosts physical defense for front-row units. Plus, his first skill deals decent damage too! You can also use him in the back row to support and shield your front-row units with his third skill, but it’s better to have him in the front row most of the time.
These are average heroes. I recommend them for new players, as they can be a good starting point for building a well-rounded team:
- Lucius (Defense, Aircraft)
- Swift (Attack, Missile Vehicle)
- Morrison (Attack, Aircraft)
- McGregor (Defense, Missile Vehicle)
- Adam (Defense, Missile Vehicle)
Lucius is a decent defense Aircraft-type hero but not among the greatest. He becomes available on day 64 of server creation and can deal decent damage to a single enemy. His special ability is reducing the energy damage of all other heroes in your squad, which can be useful when facing strong energy-based enemies like Stetmann or Tesla.
However, his first skill only targets one random front-row enemy at a time, so it’s a bit disappointing. Also, his second skill only boosts energy damage reduction and not all types of damage as Williams does, which makes him less effective against physical attackers.
Swift becomes available for recruitment on day 15, just like Tesla, which makes him a good pick for new players looking for a versatile hero. With his first skill, he can deal up to 678% damage to low HP enemies, making him a great option for both single target and AOE damage.
However, his third skill only targets 3 random enemies, so it can be hit or miss in tough battles. His second skill grants a 5% attack boost every time he uses a skill, but it relies on cooldown times which may limit its effectiveness.
To improve this, you can focus on upgrading his fourth skill which reduces the cooldown of skills 1 and 3 by 10%. Still, Swift’s full potential may not be easily reached without proper strategy and skill management. This is why I do not recommend spending too much hero EXP on this hero as there are better choices.
